Description: Join the MIT Enterprise Forum New England Game SIG on October 2nd! The video game entertainment industry is constantly in motion. Alternatives to Angel & VC Financing: Venture Debt
Description: Venture Debt is an important alternative to angel and venture capital for rapidly growing startups. It permits a startup to leverage equity capital in order to increase valuations between equity rounds, reduce dilution and enhance investor return. In this workshop, Dan Allred of Silicon Valley Bank will discuss the key differences between venture debt and other forms of financing and the circumstances when venture debt may be most beneficial for a company.

Designing a Product for Early Adopters
Description: In today’s increasingly competitive space, mobile apps live and die by whether early adopters adopt them. In this class, we will look at a few real and hypothetical apps, and walkthrough design characteristics that are essential for a consumer product in first phases of its evolution. Students will learn how they can design their app to stand out amongst the crowd and appeal specifically to early adopters, who will determine their product’s success to large extent. Mastering these design techniques will be key for a startup's success, and entrepreneurs, product managers, product marketers, and product designers will all benefit from attending.
