Everybody loves vacation. As
Everybody loves vacation. As far as we are concerned, its Fat Tuesday. Yes, the Saints won the Super Bowl, and yay for them, but it's the beginning of Mardi gras. For most people, it means getting incredibly drunk in New Orleans. (That's about all it REALLY means – an occasion to get payday loans and a lot of booze, and getting bombed into another dimension.) Let me explain something – Mardi Gras is the French version of a European tradition, or the observance of Shrove Tuesday, a celebration before Ash Wednesday and the observance of Lent. By the way, they don't mention that France is one of the strongest Catholic countries in Europe, which is where this tradition has its roots, do they?
Re: Everybody loves vacation
Devin,
Thanks for the uh...knowledge drop on the background of "Fat Tuesday." I guess we all know now why there were few events tonight.
I applaud your dedication in coming to the site at so late an hour.
Thanks,
Jason
