In this course, WP guru Kate Gilbert will open the doors to WordPress, starting with basic installation, from download to database setup. Next, we'll take you on a comprehensive tour of the WordPress admin panel so you start to get a feel for its features and capabilities. We'll show you how to start working with themes, what the difference is between posts and pages, and how to make basic configuration changes. From there, we'll explore the world of possibilities that comes with WordPress plugins so you'll have experience with the off-the-shelf goodies available for WordPress.

When all is said and done, you'll have a powerful piece of software at your fingertips and be ready to publish your content to the world.
If you already have some experience with WordPress, stay tuned for our advanced class which will show how to work with the code, write your own themes and plugins, etc.
Pre-requisite: None, but a basic understanding of HTML will be helpful.
