Interise is a membership organization that creates jobs in lower income urban communities by helping existing small businesses grow. Our signature offering is the StreetWise Steps to Small Business Growth™ curriculum, an award-winning small business development program tailored to fit the needs of existing small businesses – those most likely to grow and create jobs. The curriculum draws on the experience of the participants, business experts, and the instructor – each business has a chance to be in the spotlight throughout the course focusing a specific issue they face. Using our model, participants work ON their business instead of IN it. During the program small business owners will learn about topics in the areas of business planning, marketing and sales, financials, and access to resources.
