You’ve spent the last several months meeting with many investors to raise money for your company. It’s likely been a long process and now you’ve finally found a partner that is interested. Now comes the part where you start to discuss the terms of the investment. If you’ve never been through this process before, it can seem very daunting. What are standard deal terms? Which ones are negotiable? What is a fair valuation for my company? Ultimately, what is a good deal?
