LearnLaunch is happy to welcome you to a two in one special; a seminar on incorporating in the US followed by a Norwegian pitch competition. Feel free to come for just the seminar, the pitching competition or both.

Supersize My Startup – Incorporating in the US

The American market is a huge opportunity for any company that wishes to scale quickly, but getting there is difficult. There are many hoops to jump through, and many end up giving up. Here is your opportunity to explore what it means to set up your company in the U.S.

Questions that will be explored include:

  • How to incorporate?
  • How to deal with legal issues?
  • How to minimize tax implications?

Norwegian Pitch Competition

The Scandinavian’s are well known for their design. Here is your opportunity to hear from some Norwegian entrepreneurs who have been designing innovative solutions for several different markets, ranging from entertainment, edtech and medtech. Many of the entreprenuers are new to Boston, and are taking part in their first ‘Shark Tank’ experience. Want to hear what the judges have to say and grade these Vikings too? Join us for the night.

Companies pitching include:

Codenudge. We are developing an on-demand, live problem solving platform for programming. Our platform is created to be the fastest and best way to get help with you programming-issues; anytime, anywhere.

Technium. We’re developing reTyre – a user friendly solution to modify your bicycle tyres using zippers. Our first product, reTyre Urban Winter, is a spiked tyre surface that is easily mounted on top of your bicycle’s summer tyre.

JodaCare. We have developed a digital communication platform for family members and health personnel taking care of the same patient.

MovieMask. We are developing a portable cinema. Just pop your phone into the lid of the MovieMask, and the cinema experience can begin.

Sevendof. We are developing a drone with long range and strong weather stability for industrial use.

Wiral. Wiral is a cable cam system (which means a camera that moves on a wire, with the help of an electric motor). Wiral is adding a new angle to filming in challenging areas such as the woods, indoor or in crowded spaces where drones are impractical or straight out dangerous.

Breegi Scientific. We are developing a low-cost, disposable Neonatal Intensive Care Incubator that will reduce pre-term infant mortality and morbidity in developing countries.

Admetsys. Admetsys have made glucose measure and adjuster for hospital use. The devise has three FDA approvals and are waiting final CE approval in Europe and FDA before going to market.

Tyme. We develop smart apparel for yoga that provides feedback on breathing movement and posture.
