The Future of Primary Care: Using Technology to Improve Interprofessional Team-Based Care

Health Innovators has arranged an exciting event in which a panel of four speakers will will share their thoughts on how primary care will improve in the future through better care coordination. Learn what issues exist in the system currently, and how innovators are addressing the need for improved communication amongst clinicians needed to take care of patients.

Join us for healthy refreshments, including sandwiches, energy bars, and nonalcoholic drinks.

Speakers:

Michael J. Doyle, FACHE – President & CEO, QPID Health

Mike Doyle has a long track record of vision, leadership and team-building, as well as an exemplary record of creating business value in investor-backed, rapid-growth, public and private healthcare and technology companies. Prior to joining QPID, Doyle was CEO and Chairman of Medsphere Systems Corporation, developer of OpenVista, an open-source enterprise Electronic Health Record. While President and CEO of Advantedge Health Solutions, he led the rapid expansion of a hosted physician revenue cycle management solution for hospital-based physicians. As founder, CEO and President of Standish Care (CareMatrix), he was instrumental in creating the “assisted living” category. Earlier in his career he held senior leadership positions with two major integrated healthcare delivery systems: Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA) and National Medical Enterprises (Tenet). He started his career in hospital strategy and operations at Norwood Hospital/Neponsett Valley Health System. Doyle is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also holds a BS from Tufts University and a MBA from the University of Chicago in Hospital Administration and Finance where he was a Kaiser Fellow. He has been featured in many local and national publications and television programs and is a frequent speaker at healthcare industry events.

Piali De – CEO, Senscio Systems

Piali De is a co-founder and CEO of Senscio Systems, a technology company whose mission is to create sensors and decision support systems that help people bridge the gap between sensing and deciding. Senscio Systems’ vision is to be a leader in developing systems that automatically make sense of data to support informed decision-making. Senscio Systems’ first product is a chronic care management system called Ibis, designed to improve self care and enable early intervention to avoid complications of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, pulmonary disease and heart disease.

John Moore – CEO, Twine Health

John Moore is a physician and technologist passionate about empowering patients to take the lead in their care. He is the CEO of Twine Health, a startup focused on improving the experience, clinical outcomes, and costs of healthcare.

Moore received a PhD from the MIT Media Lab where he developed and studied technology-supported apprenticeship as a new paradigm of patient-clinician collaboration. He received both an MD and a BS in biomedical engineering from Boston University.

David Lebudzinski, M.D. – iGetBetter

David Lebudzinski, M.D. began working with the iGetBetter project as a consulting physician in early 2012. David received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross with a major in physics. He subsequently received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts in Worcester and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at UMass followed by additional training in Diagnostic Radiology. David departed from traditional clinical medicine in 1999 to offer personalized patient medical education. Dr. Lebudzinski is officially retired from formal clinical practice. He provides general clinical guidance to iGetBetter and acts as a liaison with active clinicians who approve and assign the care plans for their patients. He also provides personalized medical education and guidance to individuals/patients frustrated with the current medical system.
