Awesome Boston is a newly launched program that brings the collective "story" of Boston's innovation economy to the the world around us, showcasing the game-changing business and vibrant startup culture that drives this great city. Launched as a collaboration of prominent civic groups and leading citizens, the AwesomeBoston.org portal seeks to engage and inform people around the world about Boston's unparalleled economic opportunity.

Mill No. 5 is transforming a former textile mill in Lowell into spaces for technology start-ups, artists, and independent retail. The building features an independent movie theater, black-box theater, and farm-to-table cafe. Spaces range from 100-500 sq. ft from $100-$650/mo., with some larger spaces available.

In its sixth year, Summer@Highland admits up to 12 student teams for 10 weeks over the summer, gives them $18,000 each, free office space, and pairs them with a Highland investor mentor to help get their businesses off the ground. So far, a subset of our 35 alumni teams, which include successful startups like Cloudflare (www.cloudflare.com) and Gemvara (www.gemvara.com), have gone on to raise an aggregate $100 million in venture capital.

This course is designed to assist venture capital and investment banking professionals as well as entrepreneurs in understanding how to model out early-stage investments.
