Beacon Angels
* Beacon Angels is a Boston-based angel group that makes investments in the $100,000 to $300,000 range in small fast-growing companies. Beacon Angels members attract and access a steady flow of early-stage private investment opportunities, and build portfolio value through shared capital, experience, and strategic relationships.
Meetings: We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Union Club of Boston to review and discuss presentations from companies. Accredited investors may attend as guests of members. Guest Fee: $45.
Presenters' Criteria: Criteria for companies presenting their cases for investment include the following:
* Foreseeable exit strategy.
* Competitive barriers to entry.
* Significant third party buy-in (from customers and/or investors).
* $5 million or less pre-money valuation.
* Concise, compelling plan, organized documentation.
* New England companies preferred.
Presentations & Due Diligence : Presentations are subject to a strict time limit of 30 minutes, including Q&A. We will then discuss your presentation in executive session, and let you know following the session if your company has been approved for the next step. If it is, our members will work with you in making due diligence inquiries regarding your company over the next 30-90 days. Due diligence may or may not lead to an investment depending on the results of our inquiries.
